FAO honors the Audio and Video Information Centre of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has honoured FAO, the Audio and Video Information Centre of the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, for its outstanding role in highlighting the various activities of the agricultural sector through sophisticated media.

The Media Coordinator of the Ministry, supervising the Centre for Audio and Visual Information, was handed over by the Shield of Honor, which was organized to honour a number of media organizations and prominent media professionals at the International Year of Fruits and Vegetables, which was witnessed by Dr. Abdel Hakim, Assistant Director-General of the Organization, and Dr. Nasraldin ELHaj, the representative of FAO.

For his part, Mahmoud El-Aaraj said that the Centre for Audio and Visual Information had recently witnessed a significant development in its integrated and distinctive information services, using modern technology, with a view to highlighting activities in the agricultural sector, thereby promoting awareness of large and large agricultural projects and the steps taken by the Ministry to support farmers. He noted that the Centre was eager to renew and innovate permanently, diversify its publications and information activities, and expand its dissemination.

For its part, Ahmed Ibrahim, the information adviser to the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, thanked FAO for its constant interest in intensifying cooperation between FAO and the Ministry, as well as its important role in supporting sustainable development issues.

This followed his tribute during the ceremony as well, for his important and outstanding role in coordinating and communicating with the Organization on information issues involving the agricultural sector.
