The workshop discussed collaboration between the Institute and FAO in support of the impact of climate change on the territory of the delta governorates.

For his part, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aziz, Under-Secretary of the Land Research and Studies Institute, said that the problem of seawater intrusion required further in-depth studies to minimize the adverse effects of this phenomenon on soil and vegetation.

In a related context, Al-Khuli said that the Institute of Land, Water and Environment had also organized a workshop entitled "The Role of Soil in Participating in the Achievement of Sustainable Agricultural Development Goals."
