MALR minister, "food security, is linked to national security, and Egypt is experiencing an unprecedented agricultural renaissance under the rule of  President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi".

Tushki Project is one of the most important projects, consolidating the largest dates farm in the Middle East.

Mr. Al-quser, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, stressed that food security was linked to national security, noting that there had been an unprecedented agricultural renaissance under the rule of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi with a view to increasing the agricultural area to achieve food security for citizens.

This was reflected in press statements on the sidelines of President Sisi's opening of some agricultural projects in Upper Egypt. The Minister of Agriculture said that , the Tushki Project is one of the most important projects currently under way and has the largest dates farm in the Middle East of this size in terms of palm numbers and of the finest tigers, such as scheduled and recreational, as well as areas under import crops such as wheat, vegetables, salts and mangoes.

Experience has shown that productivity in Tushki is high and promising.

The Tushki project confirmed the will, confidence and ability of the State to manage large-scale projects, achieve success, remedy negatives and correct the course of previously stalled projects.

The Tushki Project was a promising agricultural enterprise, and its agriculture must be followed by other projects, such as livestock, seed production and agro-manufacturing projects. There were also projects for the manufacture and use of livestock.

The aim of the project was to create new societies and the majority of its workers were from the level.

The "minister" said that the main areas currently being worked on for the development of the agricultural sector were horizontal expansion, restoration of desert land and the addition of new areas suitable for agriculture, despite the challenges facing the Egyptian State in the area of dearth.

The New Delta Project launched by His Excellency President El-Sisi was aimed at the development of about 2.2 million acres, including 1 million acres for agriculture, at a cost of more than 300 billion pounds.

He pointed out that the State was spending too much money on rehabilitation projects, so first it was being examined.

The Minister of Agriculture said that in Tushki there was a research station under the Desert Research Centre, another under the Agricultural Research Centre, and also a mechanized station.
