The Minister of Agriculture is working with the Indian Ambassador in Cairo on ways to support agricultural cooperation between the two countries.

H.EMr. Alquser, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, today received Mr. Ajit Gupta, the new Ambassador of India in Cairo, and his delegation, for discussing ways to support cooperation between each other in various agricultural fields.

He noted that he had discussed cooperation with the Indian Ambassador in the area of quarantine and veterinary cooperation and increased exchange of agricultural goods. The meeting also discussed all aspects of cooperation in agricultural research, vaccines, veterinary vaccines, poultry, fisheries, training and utilization of Indian experience in dairy processing and dairy production.

For his part, the Indian Ambassador paid tribute to the outstanding Egyptian-Indian relations and looked forward to increasing trade between the two countries, noting that Egypt was one of the largest exporters of India.

Dr. Abdulhakim Mahmoud, President of the General Veterinary Service and Dr. Saad Musa, Supervisor of foreign Agricultural Relations, Ministry of Agriculture, attended the meeting.
