Egypt  has been reaching  the highest level of cotton exports in 7 years

Today, the Information Center of the prime cabinet  published a report highlighting Egypt's efforts to revive the spinning and textile industry and develop a new cotton trading system aimed at restoring the "white gold" throne globally. The report said that cotton exports of raw cotton, threads and woven fabrics had reached their highest level in 7 years, recording $ 513 million in 2020- 2021 compared to $377 million in 2019/2020.

According to the report, exports of prefabricated clothing also reached record levels of $1761 million in 2020/2021, and $1508 million in 2019/2020. The report showed that Egypt's cotton, spinning and textile exports had regained their place in world markets, showing their value and ranking among the countries of the world in 2020. Exports of raw cotton ranked eighth in the world.
